Furniture Design Cornices New Chinese Furniture by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 Cornices is a furniture collection inspired by the eaves of traditional Chinese architecture. The collection includes a seat, a flower stand, a palace lamp and a cabinet rack. Each piece is made of North American black walnut and joined with traditional mortise and tenon structures. The curved eaves form gives the furniture a three-dimensional and layered appearance. The joints are shaped by cutting, carving and polishing, and provide strength and durability. The collection brings traditional Chinese aesthetics into modern interiors.
