The film is made from optical TPU and has a five layer structure with a thickness of 6 mil. High flexibility spreads impact forces, which reduces damage from flying stones and other debris. If the glass breaks, the strong adhesive holds fragments in place. A light transmittance of 95 percent keeps the view clear, while 100 percent of ultraviolet rays are blocked. Installation uses a removable pressure sensitive adhesive, so no heating or wetting is needed.
